Pink madness!

The Japanese Anemones have reached a new level of madness in the garden. They have sprung up in several new spots this summer, in one area competing with the Everlasting Pea plants for dominance.

This afternoon we met with C and C to discuss our progress with the wildlife fayre, as they have a lot of local knowledge, and are keen members of our Group, too, so a very useful couple of hours.

This evening's Prom concert included Henryk Gorecki's moving "Symphony of Sorrowful Songs" as well as the UK Premier of Thomas de Hartmann's Violin Concerto, with BBC Symphony Orchestra and  soloists Joshua Bell and Francesca Chiejina, under the baton of Dalia Stasevska. Some very deep and powerful music.
