Evening fog

The power was out for more than an hour in the morning, as the transformer was replaced. Not sure why, as it was just four years old, but perhaps it was becoming too small, when we get a new neighbour.

When the power was back, I emptied the dryer and cleaned bits of straw from inside it (usual problem with oats harvested relatively dry). After lunch while servicing the combine, I noticed that the fuel filter holder was almost loose, a fault that it has had before, and it took a while to repair.

I had not tried to hurry much, as there was still dew at noon, but there were showers coming, so there was not much time to get some oats in. It was nearly 1:30 pm, when I got to the field, and managed to do four rounds and four tankfuls before it started looking like it's starting to rain. Soon it was pouring and there were more showers later. Filled the dryer and dried the batch in the evening.

It rained three millimetres. A foggy night ahead, so likely to be a lot of dew tomorrow, but at least it looks like there wouldn't be any rain.
