Hossa hike

What a fab morning, the mist was so beautiful on the lake from yesterday, by the sauna. After a hearty breakfast of bacon and eggs, I set off on a hike, and Mr S on a mountain bike ride. The weather was perfect 24 deg with a light breeze to keep the mossies away. The walk was lovely, through forests, around lakes, racing rivers. I met just 6 people over the 14 km, and one was Mr S.
After a bit of lunch, we packed up and headed south east to Suomussalmi Winter War museum and memorial to all the Finnish and Russians that died in the 1939 battle. Then drove even further east t the Russian border. We could climb up a very high watch tower and look into the vast expanse of forests and lakes in Russia and Finland.
We then drove further south for another hour or so, and got another brilliant parkup at a lake Yil Vuokki. We had dinner, watched the sunset and made a fire.
