Bee-lated
I've been busy tidying and dusting today so we are ready for Grace to visit this weekend. Last time she came here we'd arranged for her to come over and go to the rugby with us on Sunday, visit Jeri and gang on Bank Holiday Monday then head back to Leeds from there.
We did not know then that Sophia would be going back to Leeds for a couple of weeks, so bad timing really! Sophia doesn't mind though - there's some sorting out she wants to do in their flat, as well as more job-hunting, and she's had a manic few weeks so she says a little time alone will be good for her. I totally get that!
I had a walk for exercise and to take photos. Not particularly happy with this but it's the best of a bad bunch! Otherwise I have spent as much time as I could reading the book I got for my birthday from Jeri. It's the latest tale in my favourite crime series featuring Washington Poe and Tilly Bradshaw. It has had me laughing out loud several times and as ever, the characters are excellent.
This time last week it was blistering hot, but in the last few days I've actually felt cold. Amazing how Autumnal it has become in just a few days. Some of the trees in the park look quite brown and are losing leaves already. I always think of August as Summer - it feels too early for all this. This bee was the only one I saw in the park.
