Aladdin’s Cave

We set off early this morning, arriving at the Jura Centre in Colne by 9.30 with our coffee machine which needed a service. Avoiding Boundary Mills, we went into Colne and found a lovely coffee shop. I don’t think they use Jura machines but we had some excellent coffee.

I wanted to go to Empress Mills, the absolute treasure trove in my blip. Huge stacks of fabrics and other stuff. I managed to avoid buying any fabric, but I did have a wonderful wander and bought a few things I needed in the haberdashery section.

Meanwhile, Gordon ‘did’ Colne - it didn’t take long! We then found our machine was ready. I talked to the engineer, who explained what he had done. Gordon paid the bill!

Headed back via Settle for fish and chips and a trip to the cheese shop.

Extra
Grandaughter Maisie looking very pleased with herself. Her GCSE results were brilliant - top marks in almost everything, including Geography where she says her grandad had helped her enormously. All that hard work paid off. Well done Maisie.
