I think they talk to each other

The dahlias, that is. I think that's a childhood memory of a TV programme rather than a fit of Prince Charles coming over me!

These plants were raised from seed "acquired" (?stolen?) from the local park when last year's display was dying back.

We were enamoured of these bright red ones, and our seeds have learned their genetics correctly. A longer version of the story can be founf for the previous year, as "Tuesday 28 August 2012: Unfolding in the Sun" , and the date shows that the timing was very similar in 2012 and 2013. In fact, we've had several dahlia flowers out this year for a few days, but no opportunity for photography!
