Bagpipes

Today we went to the Aberdeen Homecoming Tartan Day 2009 Parade It coincides with the International Youth Festival, so there was a massive pipe band parade followed by people from all over the world singing and waving flags and playing instruments. it was very loud but the kids loved the bagpipes.

Kory especially has had a bit of a thing for them recently when he's seen a lone piper or a band on TV. So he was amazed. If someone were to ask me if I'm patriotic, I'd probably say I'm not. But when I hear the pipes like that and get goosebumps (and a local youth group singing Caledonia) I know I must be really!
