Perfect day?
I took the main blip at 9:45 am, and it looked like a good day then. No rain in the forecast, the only problem being that I had to clean the dryer thoroughly to get the caraway seed and dust away before I could unload the oats from the trailers and get to harvesting. I had had one problem by then though, as the conveyors in the dryer didn't work together well while moving the caraway from the dryer to a bin.
I was still in the middle of the cleaning, when I had lunch and after that I got a call telling the cows for our pasture could come now. Okay, I have too much to do, but better get them here, so I had to look at the fences (roe deer have kept roaming through the pasture) and fill the water trough before they come. Everything went well with them, so I got back to cleaning soon.
By the time I got everything ready for the oats in the dryer, it was 2:40 pm and clouds were gathering, literally. The first shower came fifteen minutes later and then there were a few more. Just two millimetres, but no harvest weather. I got one batch of oats dryed and the rest is waiting in a bin, but the forecasts don't look good.
Bckblipped two previous days.
