G&D's wedding

Did a last tidy on the holiday house and then had a strict bathroom rota to make sure we were all ready for my niece G's big day.

We drove to the hotel, met up with M-in-Law and then waited for the ceremony to begin. The civil ceremony was lovely (much more personal than mine!) and G and D looked fantastic and so happy.

We had chance to sit and enjoy the grounds of the hotel before the meal. A good opportunity to talk to people and rest my feet (in new black stilettos much higher than my usual footwear!).

Great speeches, lovely food and a friendly atmosphere.

Enjoyed people watching as the various groups were assembled by the photographers and the video crew. There were a few rumbles of thunder late in the afternoon but luckily the rain did not arrive until after midnight.
