Fields of barley

It looks good but the ears are very thin.
Mr Rat was meeting a friend for a run so I went out at the same time for a run through the woods at the edge of town (parkrun was off). It was delightfuly cool, even if a bit grey.
I spent the rest of the morning doing more transferring to the new laptop but need help with a couple of things, it really bugs me how hard it is to get something other than what the tech giants decide is what you must have and you need an expert to find the alternatives.
The afternoon was warmer and brighter so some gardening got done (and a short snooze in the sun) before preparinig stuffed courgette for tea - one of my round ones was plenty big enough.
Tomorrow is the granddaughter's birthday so we took her present round early evening and had some icecream cake.
