Australian Reptile Park
We had a good day out with Helen and the twins.
When one of the suggestions was the Australian Reptile Park, about an hour north of Sydney, I jumped at it. I used to go there as a child when it was mainly snakes and a forerunner of anti-venom research and production. I've been looking for another excuse to go since the last time when Julia was about 3 and insisted on being carried all day.
The main blip is very healthy looking wombat (many in the wild are suffering from mange) who you can also see in the collage (extra) being friendly with the visitors.
Perhaps most fascinating were the many rainbow lorikeets which were also very at ease with people.
The kangaroos were equally tame and we could buy special food to hand feed them.
The second extra shows the joy of tired twins who each want to go in a different direction.
