Life is a Challenge!

GUARDIANS OF THE PLANT!

Hello Lovely Blippers,

You will be pleased to know that we are all together again, now that the wanderers have returned from their holiday at the seaside.   For those of us who stayed behind, we must say we are glad they’re all back, because we have a job for the next ten days of looking after Hibby, the Hibiscus plant, for Mr and Mrs HCB’s friends, who are going away again.

Actually, some of us were tempted to go with them because we know that they have some furry friends too, but we were so excited to be all together again, we decided to stay at home.

You may remember that Mrs. HCB looked after this plant for their friends back in June, when Hibby actually flowered, so we are hoping that she may work her magic again and another flower will come.  We know that Mrs. HCB talks and sings to her plants - which we think is very silly, but she says if it’s good enough for King Charles to talk to his plants, why shouldn’t she - and of course, she is quite right!  In any case, we think that Admirer would be proud of us for being so kind - and of course, it isn’t silly to be kind!

Mr. HCB has been out in the garden since Silly o’clock because he had to pick beans and raspberries and also had to move some of the plants near one of their fences before Alan, the fence man comes later.  Now that would make Admirer smile - who goes out into the garden that early?  Well, we know Mr. HCB does, but does anyone else do that?

We know you don’t need reminding to BE KIND - and it’s easy in this hot weather to be a bit grumpy, but please try and BE KIND to all you meet  - Mr and Mrs HCB would be delighted, and it would make dear Admirer smile.

Love to you all - try to stay cool - although today it is much cloudier and who knows, we may even get some of that wet stuff!

P.S.  Mrs. HCB apologises for not commenting yesterday but thanks you all for your kind comments - she was helping a friend whose husband is very ill in hospital and was very tired when she got home mid-evening.
