Costa del North Shields...

A wander down to the Old Low Light this morning for coffee, and a first look at the new exhibition - 1000 years of North Shields - excellent!

Lunch at the revamped Gib - aka the Gibraltar Rock. Lovely view of the bay from our seat by the window upstairs, and a tasty meal - I had mussels, and Roy had falafel salad.

This aft we caught the Metro to Whitley Bay to buy a new smoke alarm from Maughan's, Roy's favourite shop. We walked back along the prom - very hot, so we were glad of the sea breeze.
