Wearing purple...

Continuing the theme of restoration...

...the Tynemouth outdoor swimming pool appears to have got the go-ahead for a rebuild...

It closed in the 1990s, and has only been waiting since 2012 for a stay of execution! An artist's impression here!

A walk in the rain to The Priory for an excellent brunch this morning, followed by a journey home for a cuppa with my sister. I sorted out her iPlayer, while Roy looked at a damaged lock ;)

MonoMonday hearts etc as promised:
So many different things triggered memories this week, and there were just short of 100 entries, so I’ve gone overboard with the hearts again!
These included lots of photos - of course, old buildings, cars, fridge magnets, Fred the flour grader, people, maps, special events, a spider, and a sieve ( or possibly colander )
Hearts go to:

pkln's 2CVs
Marlieske's butterfly of memories ( and Blip #4000! )
davidc's sieve ( or possibly colander! )
BikerBear's barefoot prints
Carol D's memories of her son's wedding
dorsetb's childhood memories of children's TV
Laurie54's stocks
Gasman's bench
FrankS's memories of the Beatles
JulesJourney's spider
Corinthian's hat

And a special mention for AnnieBelle's poignant blip in memory of Smokey

ApolloFly is hosting for the next two weeks.
The tag for next week is MM552, and the theme is “laughter”.

I'll catch up on my usual blip comments now we're back home...
