Hot

I read somewhere that the third day of a heatwave feels the most stressful. It certainly seems true with this one, not least because the temperatur never sank beneath 24°C all night, and quickly rose to 33°C  again in the morning - at 75% humidity, which felt like a steam sauna. Even the cats didn’t want to go out today; they (and I) stayed downstairs where it’s coolest, and tried to move as little as possible.

In the afternoon, we could see thunderstorm clouds forming over the Rhine valley, but they drifted away eastwards and didn’t bring us any rain or cooler air. 

Tomorrow the worst will hopefully be over, but it’s going to stay sunny and warm for another couple of days at least.
