Early Morning Blip

Jamie and Clara went for a dawn bike ride.   A lovely cool summer morning.   I hadn't planned to join them but Jamie had a puncture so I got a call ... at 555am!    It took a while to sort the problem, a replacement wheel with the correct locking pin was needed.  Getting these took a return to Tywyn to pick up wheels I didn't have when I left the first time.    All was sorted eventually and they continued their ride :-)

When I went back I picked up assorted things including a sandwich - breakfast - Meg and a bowl and a huge saucepan.  Extra pic explains it!

On returning home mid morning I had a couple of admin jobs to do but as I sat at the laptop my eyes were closing so I had an hours snooze, setting an alarm to ensure I woke in time for work.   Arriving at Aber Cafe I found they had been overtaken by an  unusual sequence of events.   A delayed train with 100 hungry passengers had arrived a while before I did, clearing the cafe of grab and go food.  Shortly after I arrived the next train arrived with another 100 hungry passengers.  I was supposed to be taking over so that the morning 'chef' could go home but thankfully he stayed on.   I took up the reins in the kitchen and we managed to feed everyone ... well as far as I could tell in the whirlwind of activity.   By the end of the day, it was as if none of it had happened.  A good day at the office despite all!

An evening at the Thursday community session at pottery was a nice contrast, helping me to unwind although I was a little manic at first after having gone through my gears earlier on.  Lots of locally themed pieces waiting to be fired soon.

I'm down to do another short half day tomorrow but a little lie in will be possible.  It's been a long day .... but a good one.
