An ordinary life....

Cloudbusting...

A day of weird weather.

The day started warm and sunny and continued after lunch as we headed off to Glendoick Garden Centre.

As we were approaching Perth there were dark clouds over the Crieff hills and within a few minutes the heavens opened above us followed by thunder and lightning.  It became almost impossible to drive!  Not the best time to be on the notorious A9!  Within a couple of minutes were were through it and back to sunshine and a bone dry road.

Once in Glendoick D headed to the cafe for a coffee whilst I perused their fabulous shop.  The main thing we went to buy, spring bulbs, remain unpurchased (couldn't make up my mind) but I did get some wee extra birthday gifts for Alan, and a gift to take to Ele and Kenny's on Sunday in celebration of their recent home improvements (knocking down the wall between the kitchen and dining room to create a lovely open plan space)

When we were leaving Glendoick the dark clouds were over the River Tay (see shot in extras taken from their car park) and we were just home when Penny sent a video of her and Alan in the Overgate Centre in Dundee which was being evacuated due to flash flooding!

It's remained sunny here for the rest of the evening with rumbles of thunder in the distance.  There's been massive hail showers in the north east and mud slides in Aberdeenshire.  Freaky weather!
