Room for two
Double your pleasure and double the size to see double the bees up close. (Sure, one is a hover fly... but if your gonna dress like a bee, your gonna get called a bee occasionally. And it just worked better here.) :)
Every morning I spot these sad little blanket flowers and want to trim back the way past spent ones so more can pop up. But, darned if a bee doesn't land on them before I can get the trimmers. Apparently they have plenty of pollen left on them and I can't bring myself to deprive the bees their pollen pleasure. So... you get close-ups of pretty bees on no-so-pretty flowers. Though, I do have to say, the centers on these flowers are pretty amazing even after the petals fade; they remind me of flames.
We had a lovely day with our company. I broke away to get a some camera time in as the rest of them fished. (Fishing isn't really my thing.) Then we spent the afternoon looking at pictures from B's trip to France. She had a wonderful time and seems to be looking forward to going back. We really enjoyed hearing about all about her studies and summer adventures abroad. What a great way to spent the summer. :)
I'd better get back to my company. Have a great weekend!
