Roll With It

Happy Places

Mrs S and I had been looking forward to today for a while, back to the Vounder Therapy Garden at the Eden Project for their Families Day.
A beautiful sunny day to go back and see the improvements and progress, to catch up with Roger and Mick, fellow Veterans, to talk with our mentors/instructors, James, Vicky and Sam but most of all to relax and once again enjoy the peace and tranquility of a place that did so much for me.
So after we caught up over coffee and cake, I strolled alone through the gardens, enjoying the sights, sounds and smells, enjoying the quietness and enjoying being part of such a great thing.
For any Veteran local to Cornwall and reading my Blip the photograph in today’s ‘extras’ is of a poster giving details of the next cohort starting September.

Having chatted and caught up over a three hour period it was time to head home after promising to return later this month.
In the blazing sun Mrs S and I headed home with a bag of fresh produce to look forward to in the coming days. We made a brief stop in St Austell in order for Mrs S to explore a newly found haberdashery before continuing on.

Home we had time for a sit down in the garden to enjoy a coffee before I headed off to Ponsharden for the Epic Gigability Mid Week Row.
Sitting on the water in the harbour on a beautiful sunny evening with friends, what a great way to finish the day.
