Hope and Love
Before long the girls will be here for the last Wednesday of the holiday. In fact the last day of their holiday because tomorrow they go back to school. They've had a long break though as usual it's whizzed by.
I've been meaning to blip these small ceramic tiles for a while. When we were on holiday in Fife last month the ten year old spent her holiday money on a tile each for everyone. Ten tiles in all. Most people got one with their initial but Cameraman and I were given these. What a sweetheart she is. Hope and love. What's not to like?
I'm going to be full on all day and it's a hot one again. About 25°here. We have another crop of tatties to dig and if it's not too baking we'll go out for ice cream or similar. Tonight I'll do my bedtime yoga class.
So that I don't forget I'm recording that yesterday, as we were walking from Glasgow Queen Street to Central Station, my grandson and I met a jolly tuk tuk driver. He offered a free 'hurl for the wean'*. My grandson was a bit too nervous and declined. No sooner had we taken a few steps when he said, "Grandma I'm sad I said no". Back we went, climbed into the back and were sped along Gordon Street. What an unexpected treat and so kind of the driver. Of course I gave him a healthy tip and it was money well spent.
I'm lucky enough to have blip followers outwith Scotland so:
*Hurl
*Wean
