Owl
Dana, who is becoming my arbiter of good taste in all things said she thought the owl block was cute so I went ahead and made it. I have to admit that it is pretty cute. It's the only block I've made so far that didn't have very good instructions, saying only 'applique with your chosen method' The entire block is only 6" so some of the pieces are very small. I used several different methods and would still like to have been told to add a seam allowance to the template. He is cute....
We walked up and down the street this morning which is the best way to meet the neighbors. Today it was Bart who lives in the fortress house next to us and his daughter-in-law who is helping him with some landscaping. Oh, and her dog, Bosco who had a good chase around with Spike. She invited us to bring him over any time to play, so I guess maybe she's living there too. They certainly have plenty of room...
John has pulled a muscle in his shoulder which means not much has been accomplished outside (or anywhere else). He thinks he did it sweeping the leaves off the patio yesterday. Our PIlates class on the floor didn't seem to help. He did manage to take himself to the lab to have some blood drawn, only to be told he was to be fasting so he has to go back tomorrow. It would have been useful to have been told that ahead of time....while he sat in one room doing his puzzle, I sat in another room doing what amounts to another puzzle. I did another block today which was very much like doing a puzzle--with my own colors added.
I know I'm getting very behind in comments but I'm working on figuring out a way of a little less time on my computer while still keeping up with everybody....
