Saltburn by the Sea

We had a leisurely day today. A short trip to Saltburn by the sea where we had ice cream on the prom and watched the goings on down on the beach.
Then we came back to Staithes for a rest before going to the pub for a drink. I did some sketching.
We decided to have dinner at the pub and then went and sat on a bench watching the antics of dogs chasing balls and running in and out of the sea. It was lovely to see families with their children building sand castles and playing in the water. We watched a young lass paddle boarding too, she was good at it.
I had a paddle and got chatting to a man with his 18 month old wee girl.
She was gorgeous and had no qualms about going in the water up to her chest while holding daddy’s hand. She was also quite taken with Bella.
I tried to get Bella to go in the water but she only dipped her paws in and wanted to go back to Frank. She’s getting more anxious these days.However she did enjoy walking on the prom.
My knee is slightly swollen and feels stiff, like before my knee op 18 months ago. The surgeon said the lesion (not a tumour) shouldn’t come back but I think it may have done. It was a conglomeration of blood vessels that was getting nipped if I moved a certain way and blood seeped out and caused swelling. It happened every few weeks. I’ll make a GP appointment.
