Tiny Tuesday...Man-made mystery object

Newly acquired in December and very useful to me then, and now! Not very mysterious really, see extra. 
So, drizzly, soft rain all morning which cleared early afternoon, and now it is rapidly becoming warmer. I gave all the carpets a good hoovering today. They have not been done for ages, tut, tut, and I attempted to clean some of skirting that was accessible. My conscience is clear now, although there are lots of other things that need doing!  Maybe on the next rainy day.
Thinking of mo4w today, as she goes for her 'op.
