Just Passing Through...
Summer Tanagers are fairly common here in North Central Florida, especially during breeding season. Some individual birds over winter in The Sunshine State but most of them migrate south to the Caribbean ahead of colder weather. This female Summer Tanager (males are a bright red color) spent some time in our yard this morning. She visited the seed tray, sampled the Bark Butter feeder and enjoyed splashing in the Bog for a few minutes before moving on. What a treat being able to see and get a photo of her. m
