The Tombs of the Kings

This afternoon we went back to Paphos to visit the Tombs of the Kings. The name is a misnomer as in fact no royals were ever buried there. This was a cemetery for prominent figures and high ranking officials. It's quite a visual clash of cultures. You get the incongruous sight of ancient tombs next to a modern hotel and a KFC sign poking out in the distance. Definitely worth a visit, unlike the Baths of Aphrodite near us which is nowhere near as exciting as it sounds. If you look closely you can see our shadows on the stones.
