Good News

Hubby let me know that Momma was up around 7:00. That made my job of getting her up and ready easier. I made her breakfast and pointed her towards the shower. We had a few hiccups but got to her eye appointment on time. My sister met us there. I am so glad she did; she always has great ideas. We are using Momma’s same frames so she won’t fret about new glasses (or misplacing the old ones). So glad my sister thought of that. The doctor was compassionate and thorough. He found nothing in her eye and no scratches on it. We were so happy with that good news. I will continue to use hydrating drops during the day and a thicker cream at night. If we can distract her from rubbing it constantly, the redness should go away. It’s hard for elderly folks to change habits like that. We went shopping after the appointment. I bought Momma two soft gowns like the one I have that she constantly admires. They are very soft and comfy. I found the night cream for her eye and tiny bandaids for her two sores. My sister met us back at my home. We made lunch and chatted for a while. She picked up the meal Kim made for her since she isn’t allowed to use her arm for a few more days. That smoked pork tenderloin looked and smelled delicious. She shared enough for our lunch tomorrow. Hubby and Momma took a nap. I put away our groceries and started the dishwasher after lunch. Isla has had no new issues other than being very tired. I think the two seizures really wore her out. Poor babe. Our evening should be restful. Hoping to get a minute to do my PT exercises. Wishing you time to take care of yourself. Stay safe. Thanks for visiting. “For things to change you need to change. For things to get better you need to get better.
