Summertime in Bath
Given how difficult things were over the weekend, was shocked to receive a call from the hospital at 9am saying they were discharging Dad today! After discussion with the doc she agreed for me to go in and discuss my concerns and Dad would then be discharged tomorrow with support from Hospital at Home.
So with errands to run in Bath, and with this being my last chance for who knows how long, took the bus into town to visit the shops, a second bus to drop off a parcel, then a third bus to the RUH for day 53. Spoke to the doc to sort arrangements, sat with Dad for 2hrs though he slept most of the time, then headed home to get the house ready.
A day of four buses and a sunny morning, but from lunchtime overcast and an oppressive 27 degrees, the first day of our fourth heatwave this Summer. Have managed to keep the house comparatively cool by keeping the curtains and windows closed all day, definitely hotter outside.
Thank you for your kind stars and hearts for yesterday's Prior Park blip.
PS Just watched the film "Thirteen Lives" about the 2018 Thai cave rescue. Even though the outcome is well known, it's still a gripping story.
