Crocosmia

Judging by the number of damp looking flowers I think it must have been raining during the night. It was a very muggy morning with not as much as a glimmer of blue sky or sunshine.

A quick walk through Pollok Park and then home to do some work in the garden. I can't remember where I read that irises should be cut half way in August and then right down at the end of autumn ..... perhaps I have just made that up but it works for me.

I saw the team of Pollok volunteers pushing wheelbarrows that were absolutely laden with weeds that had been pulled from the Gazebo Garden and there are still a few barrow loads left.
