Chaos

That describes me this afternoon.

I wanted to try out the method of producing ‘sketches’ in PSE that I mentioned yesterday.  For ‘Chaos’ I thought either the tomatoes again, or the honeysuckle on the patio fence.  Neither made good examples of a sketch, so the tomatoes have had to suffice for today’s blip.  Apologies to Jensphotos and Laurie54, and thanks for hosting.

At extras are two portraits of Kaitlyn that I managed to make a half reasonable job of.  The first was from a year ago.  The second was from a portrait I did in 2019, but the original did not lend itself well to the conversion.

For the masochists who use Photoshop I have précised  the instructions that I got from this article on YouTube.  There should be an equivalent in most advanced editing programs.

Create B&W image from chosen photo

In Layers create a ‘background copy’.

On the ‘background copy’ select ‘Colour Dodge’

Invert ‘background copy’

In ‘background copy’ go to Filters/Blur/Gaussian Blur

Add 'Adjustment layer'  and adjust to get best effect.

Flatten image and make final adjustments if necessary in ‘enhance’ etc.
