Lipstick plant
Raining when we woke up this morning, so any plans to go out came to nothing. MrsM & Daughter Two wanted to get a few things from Marks & Sparks so I drove them down just to get out of the house for a while.
So another rather emergency Blip today. Back in October 2023 while at Logan Botanic Garden I was given six seedlings of Aeschynanthus buxifolius, an epiphytic (and lithophytic!) evergreen shrub from Southern China and Northern Vietnam. Mine have done well, under cold glass over winter, and are flowering now for the first time. Next spring I might try one outside, maybe on the trunk of my tree fern - I think it might make it, with luck and a not too cold winter!
Still drizzly after lunch, though totally windless, which makes a change! We stayed in to finish the game of Wingspan which we began yesterday!
