Fire
Another morning of staying out of the way while preparations for the departure started to be made. I sorted photos. Set up a sharing folder and updated the birthday presentation with photos from dates 2 and 3. I'll have to find a way of giving Mum a copy. I also researched flights and stopovers for next Feb/April.
After lunch, more toasties, the family went shopping and I did some tidying before getting changed and going off for the bus to the Manor.
For reasons to do with bus times I ended up at the Liberton Cemetery stop just before 4. A good view of Arthur's Seat so I could see the very small fire and plume of smoke. By the time I got to Cameron Toll it was a raging inferno with huge clouds of get and black smoke and clearly spreading, fanned by the wind.
Got Mum out of the house ok and we meet up with #1 soon and co in St Andrew's Square Gardens, then joined by #3 son and H. The last family meal of this visit was at The Ivy. It was good, if slow service, and Mum enjoyed it
More good memories.
Got her home just before the carer arrived and then #3 and H had a hurl up the hill before the taxi took me home.
Said goodnight to the girls for the last time cc this visit saved watched a bit of Back with the adults. The fire is still burning at after 11 pm.
