A Meandering Life...

People’s Choice

This morning we started with a lineup and photo call to record this year's People’s Choice of those Morris Minors at the Gathering.

R&C’s convertible was voted best by the 13 who attended. As the same car cannot win two years in a row they will need to bring their pickup next year to retain the trophy.

For our runout today I took them through Thirsk, past Byland Abbey and onto Ampleforth. We stopped at the Ampleforth Abbey tea room for coffee and cake.

We then drove through Helmsley and over the North York Moors to Stokesley where we had lunch at a garden centre before heading back to camp. Our evening entertainment involved a lot of chat and toasting marshmallows.

Folk head home tomorrow.
