The Gowan again

I put a post on the Staveley Community Facebook page, asking folks with  gardens backing  onto the Gowan,  to tell me where the balsam plants are and offering MrP in his waders to wander along and find them,.  A huge response- both notifications of plants and thanks for doing the work. 
So after a pleasant morning in sunny Morecambe visiting friends,  we rushed back so MrP could don his waders.  The river was quite shallow where we climbed in  so I went in with wellies . But I could not go far without getting out welly depth. Mr P waded off down the river while I pulled 3 plants, and watched the wild life.  Blip taken in the river hoping to spot the kingfisher I saw yesterday. 
MrP returned having pulled 50 plants and chatted to folks over their walls who'd seen my post and knew what he was up to. Extra is one of the 3 that I managed to  remove
