Wading in the Gowan

Mr P borrowed some waders so I sent him down the river in Staveley to search for Balsam. He wandered up and down about 200m of the river and found about 40 plants. He also attracted attention from local and tourists alike. Some Japanese tourists could not understand what he was doing.  Of course if my leg was not so poorly I might have helped him- the river does not look so deep here; I could have gone across in wellies.   But he said it got  above his knees further down- definitely too deep for wellies.
