Lunch stop in Monstein

Today was another very hot day, about 28C. We decided to walk from Rhinershorn gondola station to Monstein as we knew it is very cool in the forest area. We had a lovely walk, and spent some time exploring the churches in Monstein before having lunch at Ducan Restaurant in Monstein, which can be seen here. In the extras you can see the gondola going up the mountain, then a chalet house with beautiful flowers, the very interesting wooden graves in the churchyard at Monstein and a little abandoned barn on the mountain side.

After lunch we walked back to where the car was parked at Rhinerhorn. We got back in time for Gavin, David, Luke and I to play 9 holes of golf. Luke and I competed against Gavin and David and I was having the best round of my life, winning most holes (on my handicap) and I was getting really excited to hopefully get the best score ever when I messed up the 8th hole and came back to reality! Still, I got a birdie on one hole and a couple of pars.

Tonight we are having spaghetti at home, a nice easy supper. Meriel spent the afternoon making a pudding for afters. We also had a good video call with Adam and Anna, it was great to catch up.

Tomorrow morning we have the zoom meeting with the oncologist regarding Gavin's scan results. I have not been sleeping well in the lead up to this call so I doubt tonight will be any better.
