Skeleton Crew

This is what Japanese beetles (pictured a few days ago) can do to a tree. I don't know why they found this one so inviting, but they absolutely monstered it. I can't even tell what kind of tree it is. Luckily, it's not in our yard, it's down by the lake, and the beetles are well past their peak.

More fog this morning, still kind of gloomy. Perhaps a cup of coffee is in order.
