Gloom, Existential and Otherwise

Sometimes I think that our lake looks quite wild and remote - or perhaps I just photograph it to look that way. In reality there are plenty of houses dotted around the lakeshore, a fishing pier, a boat dock, a school, a golf course. Having said that, the great majority of the lakeshore is privately owned - and all of my photos are restricted to the public bits.

It was heavily overcast when I went out this morning - thunderstorms again last night around 4 o'clock (I got up, the house was shaking) and more rain to folllow. Saves me from watering the garden.
