Different Day, Different Bracket
I took the dogs into the woods this morning (in shifts as usual) just to give them something different to sniff at!!’
Well… madwill managed to sniff out this triple decker fungus growing on a beech tree - this was about head height and in a ‘fold’ in the trunk. It looks quite fresh and there is some shedding of the red coloured spores. It may be worth a revisit in a few days to see how it has developed. Additional light was required as it is quite dark under the full leaf canopy, so I used the popup flash. On the dog walks I only carry my camera and no additional lighting or tripod - poo bags (and hand sanitiser - don’t ask) are also carried in my little ‘man bag/camera case’
This may be ‘artist’s bracket’ - which I believe is called ‘artist’s conk’ too - I do love the new ‘conk’ word I have learned (see yesterday’s blip).
