Water patterns
It was a coolish start to the day. My husband had gone out with the car to recce a bike ride he is planning, so I decided to have a quiet day at home. I went out for a walk after breakfast to the beach and along the river estuary. It was fairly busy with people heading for the beach or having a morning coffee or tea. Nothing inspired me to take a photo as it was still quite dull but as I walked over the bridge with the flood plains on one side the patterns of the receding water tempted me to take today's blip. As I was returning home the sun started to come out and it turned into a fairly warm sunny day.
My husband returned happy from his ride as all had gone to plan. After tea I popped down to the allotment to pick some sweetcorn, a few raspberries and a few courgettes. I also picked some rhubarb to make some jam tomorrow and watered most of the plants. Its certainly been very dry here for a very long time.
