Empty Sky

The sky is very empty. It’s certainly bereft of the Red Arrows, who were supposed to be flying over Haverthwaite at 17.47 on their way to Edinburgh. According to a flight plan posted on social media, anyway. We turned up a good half hour before the scheduled time, just in case. As did several other people, who had obviously seen the same information online.
By 18.00, we were thinking they might be a bit late. By 18.20 I’d managed to get a strong enough signal to get online. And the first thing I saw when I searched “Red Arrows” was a picture of them flying up the Royal Mile in Edinburgh, taken three minutes previously!
Obviously, a different route had been taken to that published. Hey ho. It was nice standing out in the sunshine for an hour though, chatting to strangers.
The only other thing of note that I’ve done today is clean the oven shelves and door. Satisfying, but not exactly photogenic, so I’ll stick with the photo I took of the area when trying to work out how far to zoom in or out in order to capture the planes as they flashed by.
Or not…
