I was very kindly given this singer by sheenagh, it's an old one from the 1960's. it had an old round pin plug on it but my father was able to change it to a normal plug and the sewing machine worked fine! It's great because I can now do so many things that I couldn't do before. It is slightly sexist to say this, but I really love sewing machines and I'm glad men invented a device that is so easy to use and saves so much time!!
