Getting close to home
Back to the U.S. today. Peter took me to Manchester airport. Check-in line was fairly long and very slow-moving, but luckily there was no line for security, so I was at the gate in plenty of time. We took off on time, and after some slight turbulence at the beginning had a pretty smooth flight. Transfer at Atlanta went smoothly, and I arrived in Cincinnati on time, where Roger was waiting for me. The weather was fine in Cincinnati, though it had obviously been raining as there were some pretty big puddles. It was pleasantly warm, not the usual oppressive heat of late July. Apparently, Cincinnati has experienced its coldest July since records began about 150 years ago! But since summers here are usually too hot and humid, that isnt necessarily a bad thing!
