Now, as I see it......

Railway 200

As part of the celebrations of 200 years since the birth of modern railways, the National Railway Museum has created an exhibition train which is touring the country this year, stopping off at heritage railways and large towns across the country.  This week it is in Norwich station.  It is free to visit but you need to book a timed slot and we had tickets for lunchtime today.

The exhibition is over four coaches and covers the history of railways, the engineering involved and the careers available on the modern railway.  It was interesting but if I'm honest, I think they could have made more of it; there wasn't a great deal on any of the subjects and with a lot of people filing through the coaches it was a bit difficult to see things in detail.  But I'm glad we went.

My main shot is the 'ER' of the word 'together' on the wrap on one of the coaches.  I've added an extra of a model of a boring machine.  No, not a boring machine; a boring machine.  One that bores tunnels (although I think W thought it was an extremely boring machine).
