Wirral wanderings
RM and I had a wonderful long walk with MsMoss from Leasowe lighthouse up to Hoylake, via Map for an excellent vegetarian lunch involving variations of halloumi, avocado, mushrooms and sourdough - and then of course back again! Hilariously both myself and MsMoss were wearing Lovelocks t-shirts, it's always good to meld (although possibly the people in Map thought we were scouting for a rival coffee shop...)
Of course we started off in the rain (extra 1 - the standard UK holiday view of beach sights through the car window...) and the tide was high so the boats were bobbing in the natural harbour at Meols... (main). By the time we got to Hoylake (extra 2) the RNLI launch was being put away (a near reverse blip from Tuesday when I took the other side of the boathouse in the wind). Despite MsMoss' suggestion, we did not steal the parked hovercraft, although we did enjoy watching someone apparently learn to drive it as we walked back... which led to a debate on whether hovercrafts have a clutch. By that time, the sun was out, as was the tide. A wonderful day by the seaside.
