Arriving

A slightly frustrating journey up the M6 with heavy traffic and a lunch stop at the glamour of a heaving Lancaster services where the 30 person long queue for the toilets was a sight to behold. We have now arrived at our holiday location in Brampton, near Carlisle.

The only minor disaster was forgetting my wallet, luckily I realised by the end of the road so we just went round in a loop to collect it again before setting off a second time.

Just need to go and find some food at the local supermarket now before we can settle down and enjoy the evening - looking forward to starting on the heap of books and a good game of Scrabble. Possibly even a glass of beer to accompany said game. Don’t worry. We do know how to push the boat out. Sometimes we have a whole can each of an evening. It is Friday after all.
