Queen Maggie
..has recovered from her vet adventure and seems to have forgiven me - but is still not happy about having her photo taken!
It was a day that was more busy than usual.
It started with breakfast with Noreen at a local bakery where we could actually sit outdoors on their patio! Imagine! Outdoors! Air quality has improved, at least for the moment. Yay!
It ended with a late-day hair appointment where once more I was shorn more closely than I requested! But, hey, hair recovers - not everything does... so all is well.
The cardiologist called to give me an appointment for Monday. I didn't expect to have test results that quickly, so have fingers crossed that all is well and that nothing bad showed up!
I dropped off a few bags of donations at our local thrift store and am still trying to declutter - but not always successfully - like with these table linens ( extra). I did try.. but could not part with any of them! Not right now.
I know, I know...who needs all those table cloths and napkins..on top of all the other table cloths and napkins that fill so many drawers in this house! But these ones are special. I love the fabric - it is hand-made on the island of Andros which makes it authentically Bahamian and those patterns and vibrant colours just shout out "Bahamas" to me - lest I should ever forget the wonderful memories I have of those islands and of Sylvia and Clayton, the friends I made there.
Sylvia passed away recently and every time I look at those fabrics, I am reminded of her. She had those table linens in her house. I loved them, so she encouraged me to get some. And so I did. I got lots of them! More than one person could ever need, but I love them all! I will try another time to move at least some of them along, but not right now.
Perhaps I should tackle at least one shelf in my yarn cupboard? I might have more luck with that.
