The Snowies

So far today has been perfect. I started hiking about 7:45 and I was lucky to get a parking spot at the Sugar Loaf parking lot. But once out on Lost Lake trail I didn't see anyone until the way back. It was perfect and sunny. I saw and heard a marmot sunning himself on a rock. I saw, at a distance, what I'm pretty sure was a fox running up a hill. I did a little cross country and sat and admired the view and the flowers. On the way back I ventured off trail and discovered the most perfect spot to backpack to. It's above a small lake and has a beautiful view down the valley. I'm hopeful this will happen in the next week or two.
I am so thankful to live in this stunning part of the world.
I made my cake and it looks pretty but I'm not sure how it will taste. I think the fake cream cheese brand that I used has a bit of a weird taste. Others could be better but we'll see.
Session folks will arrive in a couple hours so I'm just making sure everything is clean :-)
