Staveley Shuffle

Following our exploits in Edinburgh yesterday, we had a nice, easy and lazy start to the day.

Whist I always enjoy these moments, there is always a slight restlessness of not wanting to waste the day. Fortunately, The Youngest came to the rescue with a suggestion that we go swimming, so we headed over to Holgates in Silverdale for a dip.

It was heaving! Somehow we were able to find a little space, but it was more floating and playing rather than swimming!

We headed home for some lunch and then with it being such a nice day (and knowing that tomorrow wouldn’t be), we headed into Staveley for some gelato from Kimi’s and a little stroll before a trip to the pub.

Nice pint in the sunshine as the wee ones terrorised one another in the neighbouring playground.

Lovely end to the weekend.
