Outatime

We went up to the Edinburgh Fringe today for the first time and it was absolutely fantastic!

We were on an early-ish train to ensure we had a full day at it.

We had to be a little careful with the shows we picked as the wee ones were with us, but I was delighted that they had their first exposure to some stand-up (in a very small, intimate environment), which was great fun.

We then mooched over to the bustling Assembly George Square Gardens for a crafty beer before heading in to watch Biff to the Future (pictured) - a one man-show from the perspective of the trilogy’s villain. It was quite good fun, with some nice touches, but didn’t quite hang together as a whole.

There was a little more mooching before we caught our final and best show of the day: Locomotive for Murder. An improvised whodunnit, murder mystery. It was hilarious! M’boy commented after that his ribs hurt from laughing so much.

A little more mooching preceded the train journey home, where we discovered that m’boy has no idea how to use AirPods, which prompted yet more laughter.

A fitting finale to a cracking day out!
