Burnham Pier

At 10.30am we met up with friends Steve & Julia on the outskirts of Burnham on Sea (Somerset, UK) to do a cycle ride.

With this week's W-I-D-E on Wednesday Challenge theme being 'steps' I was on the look out for some and Burnham Pier didn't disappoint! The main photo' shows the steps leading to Burnham on Sea Pier with friend Steve on the beach. 

We then cycled about six miles along Bridgwater Bay beaches to Brean Sands, and on the way passed the 'Low Lighthouse' in the extra at the far end of Burnham Beach.

We had a coffee at Brean Sands Beach Car Park before continuining to Brean Head where we had a look at the Fort looking out to Steep Holm Island and The Welsh Coast.

Back at the car we put the kettle on for another cuppa before heading home. The first twelve miles along the beaches were stunning but not so the main road back to the car past all Brean Sands Caravan Parks!
